DESCRIPTION:

The Accounting Clerk will be part of the finance team which is made of 6 people and will be mainly assigned to the operations related to accounts payable of all the divisions of the company: Quebec, Ontario, British Columbia, and USA.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Validate the conformity between orders and suppliers’ invoices.
  • Account for suppliers’ invoices.
  • Participate in the preparation of suppliers’ payments.
  • Reconcile and record credit cards and expense accounts.
  • Reconcile accounts payable statements.
  • Keep supplier information up to date.
  • Open supplier accounts.
  • Perform billing.
  • Filing.
  • Contributing to the month-end procedure for accounts payable.
  • All other tasks necessary to meet organizational objectives.

SPECIAL PROJECT:

  • In collaboration with the controller, you will participate in the administrative transfer of our division from British Columbia to Quebec headquarters.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Essential – Professional diploma (DEC) in accounting.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the warehouse supervisor, the warehouse attendant is responsible for:

  • Receiving and processing all incoming merchandise via our AS400 system,
  • Stock accordingly with regards to company safety and standards/regulations,
  • Preparing and completing warehouse orders according to schedule, (pack/shrink-wrap materials and products),
  • Performing warehouse inventory control by cycle counts,

Reporting to the operation director located in our head office - Blainville, Québec, the warehouse supervisor is responsible for efficient and safe operation of the distribution center in Mississauga, Ontario.


MAIN DUTIES:

  • Attaining targets for picking, put-away, processing and shipment of inbound and outbound good in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring a safe and secure environment by completing regular safety inspections, organizing training when needed, conducing safety meetings with employees, enforcing company policies, and investigating all incidents resulting in injuries.
  • Training, coaching, and directing any corrective actions to resolve any day-to-day operational issues,
  • Planning and communication of daily shift work, based on daily priorities, equipment, and space utilization,
  • Continuous monitoring of performance and activities of warehouse, using KPIs with a focus on safe and timely execution.
  • Daily communication with Operations Manager on shift achievements, (targets, issues, etc.)
  • Maintaining accurate inventory counts and periodic audits (spot checks on inventory level), supplies and equipment.
  • Ensuring all orders are shipped in timely manner.
  • Investigations on lost or damaged shipments.
  • Recommending any operational improvements to increase productivity, safety, quality, or efficiency.
  • Planning effective utilisation of available warehouse space to prevent loss or damage and increase efficiency.
  • Supporting and coaching team members.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in supervisory role in a warehouse environment.
  • Proven leadership with strong written and verbal communication skill.
  • Able to effectively communicate to all levels of organisation.
  • Direct, working knowledge of operations, warehouse management, and transportation management.
  • Excellent analytical skills, problem solving skills, and critical thinking skills.
  • RFID (radio-frequency identification), EDI (electronic data interchange), and Barcode system experience.
  • Very good knowledge of MS office
