PURPOSE
You will work closely with the Human Resources Director to ensure the strategic development of teams, a good atmosphere and sustainable working relationships according to established methods and procedures. This role is essential in the implementation of our personnel initiatives, and especially as a labor relations professional. You will provide internal support to employees and managers as well as participate in the improvement of HR processes and their operation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruitment
- Actively participate in the entire recruitment process (posting, analysis of applications, interviews);
- Participate in the integration of new employees and follow up with managers;
- Have new employees complete the documentation for the payroll department.
Health and safety
- Participate in the OHS committee;
- Administratively monitor work accident files with the mutual insurance company;
- Collaborate on prevention initiatives and the implementation of the company's prevention plan.
Absenteeism and disability
- Administratively monitor absence and disability files.
Training
- Organize and monitor staff training;
- Monitor employee training (warehouse, factory).
Administrative support
- Update employee lists (sports activities program, seniority, service anniversary, etc.);
- Prepare documents (employment letter, contract, disciplinary notices, etc.);
- Extract reports;
- Answer questions from employees on HR programs;
- Collaborate in updating policies and procedures.
Others
- Organize and plan social activities;
- Support management with HR projects.
REQUIREMENTS:
- University degree in Human Resources;
- Membership of ORHRI (an asset);
- 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar position
- Oral and written bilingualism to support teams in Canada and the USA;
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage interactions at all levels of the organization;
- Ability to build strong relationships and work effectively in a team;
- Have great rigour and organizational skills;
- Have an analytical and critical mind;
- Ability to solve problems and demonstrate innovation;
- Ability to demonstrate autonomy in work management.
